Ok, here I am well on my way into adulthood, yet I am quite proud to say that I still get silly and know how to have fun! This is a picture of me and two of my fairly new work friends at La Pinata restaurant in Old Town San Diego in late Jan 2011.  The gentleman who was the guest of honor at this lunch-time bash has a full, thick moustache, so all of us in the group were wearing ‘staches, too!

Here’s a semiformal bio of who I am in the work world. The posts on this page will at times be personal, at times professional. This first post will help you get to know me.

I am a Fellow in the Society for Technical Communication (STC) and was the 2007-2008 Society President. I have been a member of STC since 1979 when I joined the San Diego Chapter. After serving on the council of that chapter, including 2 years as president, I moved to Houston where I lived for almost 15 years. During that time, I held many STC positions including Program Manager of the STC Annual Conference in 1995 and 3 years as Director-Sponsor for Region 5 (including Texas and six other southwestern states).
